Arkansas State Adds Fully Online, Accelerated Master of Engineering Management Degree

JONESBORO, Ark. -- (Feb. 9, 2016) – Arkansas State University (A-State) today announced the launch of a fully online, accelerated Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree to help working professionals prepare for leadership roles in engineering, manufacturing and high-tech companies. Enrollment is now open for the first start date of May 16, 2016.

A-State’s interdisciplinary MEM curriculum draws on coursework from both the College of Engineering and the College of Business MBA program. The 30-credit hour degree can be completed in as little as 14 months, with no on-campus or thesis requirement. Students can conveniently pursue the program on their own time while enjoying full access to A-State’s esteemed faculty and resources.

"Given the diversity and complexity of the engineering field, employers place high value on the skill sets that an advanced degree offers candidates,” said Dr. Paul Mixon, interim Dean of Engineering at Arkansas State. “A master’s degree is an excellent way for engineers to distinguish themselves and get a leg up on the competition, whether they’re looking to advance within their current companies or they’re seeking new challenges within the industry. Traditional on-campus courses are logistically difficult for working engineers, so we’re pleased to be able to offer an accelerated program that meets the needs of these busy professionals.”

To help deliver its MEM program, the College of Engineering is working with Academic Partnerships, a leading online service provider for higher education.

“Arkansas State University has an outstanding reputation, both for the quality of its College of Engineering and for its commitment to top-quality online learning,” said Randy Best, Chairman and Founder of Academic Partnerships. “We are proud to represent the Master of Engineering Management program that will be shaping future leaders in the rapidly growing and exciting engineering field.”

The MEM degree joins A-State’s broad portfolio of high-quality, widely recognized and fully online degree programs. To learn more about these offerings or to apply, please visit http://degree.astate.edu
