Carl Sparks leads Academic Partnerships as the company’s CEO. Prior to joining AP, he was president and CEO of Travelocity, a global online pioneer that transformed the travel industry. Carl previously served as chief marketing officer of Expedia, general manager of Hotels.com North and South America, and president of the online retailer Gilt.com. He sits on the board of directors for ActionIQ, Vonage and Dunkin’ Brands. Carl specializes in consumer marketing, business development, on-line marketing and strategic alliances. Carl holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
